Dr. Alastair Hayward Graduated from the veterinary school at the University of Queensland in 1992. Since graduating he has undertaken veterinary work in a wide range of species including Dogs, cats, cattle, sheep, horses, deer and more recently exotic species through work at Altina Wildlife Park. Alastair has been in his own practice since 1997 in Yea, Victoria and moved with his family to Narrandera in 2006 to take on the Narrandera Veterinary Clinic.
While the veterinary practice is his work life, outside of this Alastair enjoys the thrills of Mountain biking. He is also active in community service having help design and develop the Narrandera Bike and Hike project. He has also taken on the role of Captain for the Euroley Rural Fire Brigade. If time permits he enjoys tinkering in the shed, usually building projects.
Dr. Danielle Fogarty started her studies with a Bachelor of Animal Science, she then went on to complete a Master’s in wildlife conservation and management, before finishing her studies with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine in University College Dublin in 2016.
Dani enjoyed two years in a busy mixed practice in Northern Ireland before joining Southpaws Speciality internship program in Melbourne in 2018. Looking for a more regional lifestyle she moved to NSW to join the Mivet team this year. She looks forward to meeting all the locals & their owners.
Dani enjoys travelling and has spent some time volunteering in Indonesia, the Galapagos islands, Sydney, UK and Ireland. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, drawing and spending time with her fiancé and their two dogs Bonnie & Fen.
Cathy Meyer is a qualified nurse with her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and over 15 years’ experience in the industry. She moved to Leeton with her husband in September 2017 and is enjoying being a part of the team at Mivet.
She loves all creatures great and small (except maybe for spiders…) In her spare time, Cathy has recently taken up bird watching and is enjoying learning about the many different species of birds in the Riverina area. She also has an interest in nutrition and ran a Weightloss program at her last clinic using the Hills program.
Sarah Bush has been a part of the veterinary nursing team at Mivet since 2016. Sarah is qualified in Certificate II Animal Studies and currently completing her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing.
Outside of work Sarah is devoted to teaching swimming at the local swimming pool as an qualified Austswim Instructor.
In Sarah’s spare time she enjoys spending it with her red heeler Bikkie who loves going for swims on a hot day.
My name is Jordan Jones, I have been a part of the team here at Mivet since January 2018. I am currently completing my Bachelor in Veterinary Technology. I live with two very active dogs who keep me busy and love to go to the river for a swim. I’m very interested in the diagnostic side of the job and learning from the rest of the team.
